Starting October 1, 2026! Employers prepare for the "Employee Welfare Fund"
To provide security for employees upon leaving their jobs or death, employers with 10 or more employees must contribute savings and matching contributions to the Employee Welfare Fund.
Contribution Rates:
October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2031
Employee (Savings): 0.25%
Employer (Matching Contributions): 0.25%
From October 1, 2031 onwards:
Employee: 0.50%
Employer: 0.50%
Employer Responsibilities:
Register for the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare's e-Service system.
Register the list of employees.
Deduct savings from employee wages.
Submit matching contributions and savings on time.
Benefits for Employees:
Savings for when leaving work.
Providing security for themselves and their families.
Enhancing long-term social security.
Remember! This regulation comes into effect from October 1, 2026 onwards.
